A Fall-to-Winter Transition in Toronto: Our First Snowfall of the Season
Hi everyone! Welcome to my very first blog post — I’m so glad you’re here 😊
This week in Toronto, we experienced a true fall-to-winter transition, complete with our first snowfall of the season. It caught us completely by surprise. One moment we were admiring the beautiful fall colours across the city, and the next there was fresh snow on the ground.
Right now, it feels like fall and winter are sharing the stage here in Toronto. The trees are still full of yellow and red autumn leaves, while the grass and sidewalks have a light, wintry dusting of snow. It’s such a unique sight — a reminder of how unpredictable Toronto weather in late fall can be.
The kids were thrilled, of course, going out of their way to stomp through pristine, freshly fallen snow. Even though it didn’t last long, it was enough to make everything feel a little more cozy and winter-ready.
There’s something special about this in-between season in Toronto — not quite fall, not fully winter. It’s a gentle reminder to slow down, take it all in, and enjoy the little comforts. For me, that means a warm cup of steeped tea with two creams and two sugars.
I hope you’re staying warm, enjoying the seasonal shift, and taking in the view wherever you are in the city 🍁❄️
